  • Looking for a good CMS

    Hi all,

I am looking for a good CMS for a client that would have these features:
    - PHP/mySQL driven
    - web site sections
    - user level permissions (webmaster, editor, contributor, on a per-section basis)
    - file upload for users with permissions
    - global templates
    - abilty to use PHP in templates
    - competitive pricing
    - maybe i am missing something offhand

This is for a high profile client so the program should be reliable (no 'ezboard'-style programs ).

So far I came across a program called Managee, which seems okay, but after a close inspection, the code is very new and not really 100% tested.

If anyone has positive experiences with CMS matching the above criteria, please post the URL and your comments.

    Your feedback is very appreciated.

    developer.ez.no

That's the best you're getting for a reasonable price (free) without writing your own.

      www.miraserver.com - $150

in v1.0 there will be global templates, vbulletin intergration, also they have code blocks where you put your code in on your template and it will update it just like php or ssi includes, very nice..

also siteworkspro.com is nice, but you have pay to have more then one user use it

and you can add custom pages, just the ones they put
      Running vB since 4-14-2002

Will vB3 not have an optional CMS addon pack?

Not 3.0, it will be more or less a separate product anyway.

You'd have to mod it heavily, and i've never heard this mentioned.. but last I checked the Slashdot engine was O.S. as well.

I hope vB does develop a nice CMS for 3, something easy to manage and integrate. IMO, it's the one thing that vB is missing that could really improve things.
