Pure art IMO, and all in a 64kb file, that's 15 minutes of sound and pure art.
    Amazing

    PS: DirectX 8 is required.

The textures I think are stored already in directx 8 and the sound has low quality.

    But still damn impressive.

It's neat, but sadly my eyes can't handle stuff like that... I had to stop it within a few seconds

That was cool!!!!! Even if the textures are already in DirectX, that was still very impressive for 64kb!

The old Crystal Dreams demos were awesome back in the day.

                        That was stupid

Impressive for 64kb, but still, stupid... I had to shut it down cause it was so boring. The textures aren't anything special IMO. I never really understood art though, so whatever

To be honest, I also can't see what the hype is all about. Wow, hurray, you packed 15 minutes into 64kb, good job. But what's the point? The graphics are far from being impressive, the music is just the same two bits repeating each other, and most of all - this is not the 90's. Games can be distributed on DVD's if need be, not on floppies.

But that's just the issue Chen, pack it all up in a 64kb file, the purpose is demos.
For instance, when a software company like ID release a new game you go to idsoftware.com, http://www.idsoftware.com/business/home/techdownloads/ and instead of a 100MB file download you will end up with a 64kb download, that's impressive to me.

Well, I don't know what they were trying to "demo" other than the fact that they can compress a lot of graphics into a 64Kb file. The "art" side of it is nothing more than a bunch of Quake-inspired castle structures, with the occasional Tron-inspired tunnel of light. The camera angles, while intended to be sweeping and breathtaking, are short and choppy. The music is uninspired techno-synth MIDI. Again, I don't know what they were trying to demo other than the fact that they could compress 15 minutes of this stuff into 64Kb.

Which should astonish me -- that they thought that anyone would sit and watch 15 minutes of flat, uninteresting work not revolving around their knowledge of the file size.
