meh... looks pretty good, except the vbForumSkin style makes everything look generic and BORG-like.

      Resistence is futile...

By the way, I totally do not get any feeling of a star trek something when I join the site, the images are a bit more unique then just spikey corners and such. The extra column for making a new post was thought off original.

Looks like a fun site, and I think if the forum is the site, it just is the site. It doesn't have to be a complete package with frontpage etc. I also don't have that - at this stage.

Just a rant and not to take anything away from this forum.

Why is it that everyone has to have such graphic intensive forums that all basicly look the same except for different colors. Is originality a thing of the past.

When I go to a forum I go to ask or answer questions. I don't care what the forum looks like as long as it loads fast and the community is a friendly and helpful one. I belong to many programming communities and frequent many tech boards. The good ones are blah looking with huge userbases. Why? They load fast and people on modems will wait the few seconds for a page of text to load. Not everyone has broadband and to shun the modem users by using large bulky graphics is no way to build a community. Last time I checked 70% of the people that connect to the internet still use a modem. You lose out on many good members when you use all those fancy graphics

              Sorry about the rant.

I agree, there are far too mahy arty types around here who need that slapping into their dense heads.

Its not about being unique, its about what the forums and the community, about PC stuff, I dont care about the unique style, people wanna chat not look at the graphics all day.
