I recently arranged and ordered the purchase/setup of a Dell Poweredge 2550 - it's been fantastic. It's 2U, or the 1U model is the 1550.

We have a bunch of 1550, as well as a 2550.
            The 2550 is a *dream*.

We've switched to IBM though, currently using a few of their 1u e-Series, but also looking at their bladeservers.. yum

                keep 'em as toys?
we kind of have four different projects running across the servers, so we'll probably just allocate them to one of the other projects, and buy blades for the big project we're working on atm

never fear, i can alwuas find a use for spare servers
