  • Plesk Vs Cpanel

So which do you prefer? I'm going to go with Cpanel, after experiencing Plesk and it's problems, and lack of features, I would have to say Cpanel. Cpanel also has a better interface and is easier to navigate

          They are both evil

Both are truly evil. Plesk is alright and you can purchase vs. lease. Cpanel works for the most part but up until now you "had" to lease the software and could not make a one time purchase. I emailed the author a few days ago on puchasing Cpanel for a couple servers outright and they want $1,400.00 per license per server. Worth it? Heck no. Might as well lease it in my opinion. That's what I'm going to do. Between the two named though I prefer Cpanel over Plesk (Just a personal choice). But neither are perfect.

If cPanel would ever update I wouldn't mind it, never tried exim or Plesk.

Given all the problems associated with Plesk I see on these forums, CPanel is the best choice. However I hardly ever use it myself, preferring to ssh in and work in shell.

I have Cpanel on my server and wouldn't use anything else despite its many problems

I've never used any of the software mentioned in this thread - I use GearHost's iControl.

I think it'll be released soon, but for now it's only available with their hosting plans.
