Itec Conference in Philly November 8-9

ITEC - the Information Technology Exposition & Conference - is at the Valley Forge Convention Center on November 8th and 9th.

Chris, or anyone else, are you planning on going?

My boss just came in and handed me passes for it. It looks pretty decent, a lot of big names are going to be showing up.

I haven't visited it yet, but their website is: http://www.goitec.com

Let me know if you're interested in attending, I have 3 extra passes .

Well considering that the Valley Forge convention center is about 2 block away from where I work, yes I might be going.... let me see what is going on here next week and if I can sneak away for a bit

You mean you *want* to visit Philly.... on purpose? LOL

Anyway, which days are you going to the conference Jim? If anything we should try to get together sometime since you're in the area.

I'm not sure yet. Maybe both, maybe one or the other, maybe none. I have to see if they're going to splurge for a hotel room for the night. There's no way in hell I'm driving down there two days in a row.

I'll probably be talking about it more with the "higher ups" today, I'll post here or shoot you an email when I know.

And eva, if you'd be willing to sit on a plane for 18 hours or whatever it is to come to Philadelphia, you're a much stronger man than I...

hehe, it's always the case, that people in their own locale, don't see their own state/town as being attractive...

just curious, have Jim or Chris or anyone here, met each other face to face before ?

Nope... at least I haven't ever met any vBers (or even UBBers for that matter) before. Even though I live relatively close to Ed/Mike and Jim.

Although I am really still holding out for an invite from Martin

Well, you're right but you're wrong. I strongly suggest that everyone visits New York City at least ONCE in their life. Second to Paris, it's probably the most interesting city in the world. Nowhere else do so many interests meet together: Arts, Finance, News, Sports, Food, History, Museums, Politics, Traffic - it's all the crem de la crem. Philladelphia (no offense to those who live there) wouldn't be on the top of my list if I were travelling halfway around the world to visit another country - unless you want some good cheese steak and Jello Pudding Snack - oh, and some losing sports teams .

And no, Chris and I have never met face to face.

I'd have to agree, NYC is full of life and a very interesting place to visit. Now of course I'd never want to live there will all the congestion of traffic and people and the high prices...

No none taken Philadelphia, IMHO, is a great place to live because it's so close to everything, and yet not too big and crowded.... of course there are some interesting things here, but it doesn't compare to New York at all. But if you're looking for a good cheese steak (or *excellent* scrapple ) there's no place like good ole Philly!

                    Chris,

I'm heading down tomorrow, and if it's really good, I'll be attending the second day. If you want to go, let me know, I have an extra pass. If not, maybe we could meet up for lunch somewhere.
