I finally got my account back after 1000000 years of being in the shadow! But, I read about vBulletin.org coming to an end next year on August! I can't believe they are still using the 3.x.x version and never updated their software. Overall, I am sad to see the forum coming to an end. vBulletin got me into web developing back then and into forum developing back then as well! But, hopefully I'll be active and post here and there. I may just buy the latest and play around and see what I can learn more. It's been a minute since I have done coding since I am now into photography! But, hope to see some familiar faces.

vbulletin.org was never upgraded because it is not a straightforward thing to do. It contains huge amounts of custom code that would all need to be rewritten. This would take substantial developer time and impact feature development and bug fixes on the core product.

vbulletin.org never existed to showcase the latest version…vbulletin.com does that.

I loved vbulletin.org back in the day, but it was of its time. The way these things are done has moved on, customer needs have moved on.

I remember them stating that but I would assume over the x amount of years it could of been on an Alpha stage or another phase to see if it's possible still. But, it is what it is tho.

While it doesn't have to showcase the latest version it would of been awesome to see tho.

vBulletin.org is what got me to understand a lot of coding with the community along with vBulletin.com!

I think i read a thread on here saying that it's being sunsetted in favour of a surprise that is yet to be confirmed by Wayne Luke.
It's currently full of bugs.

Nothing wrong with being filled with bugs! I am just sadden to see it come to an end to be honest. Regardless of the activities.

It got to the point that you couldn't stay logged in after going to the page you wanted.

Damn! It reminds me of a game called Marvel vs Capcom 2. The code is like holy smoke but after 23+ years with technology we were able to finally mod in-game by changing a lot. They were able to remove handicap and use it to allow people to put their name for streaming purpose. New stages, more than 1 music per stage, a rematch button that auto select your characters less than 2 seconds and so many more.
