Hello there, do you think it would be a good idea writing a course about how to start running a successful forum? And would people pay to get this help?

No. The are no magic tricks to running a forum and the basic steps everyone should take are available free. The key to a successful forum (or anything else) is passion and hard work. If you care enough about what you are doing then other people will also care. If you don't they won't. It's the people who think you buy the software and it does everything for you that have the problems.
