  • My Site and the Wall Street Journal

Hey all, just wanted to share that my site is in the Wall Street Journal today, and it has brought us a lot of pageviews, so I am happy. Last week it was in PC world and before that the New York Times. They even quoted a post from my VB

Being spotlighted in a magazine or on a television show is a great way to boost traffic. I know we love our mentions when they happen.

                Congratulations.

Well it's really hard to tell, because the site was in the WSJ's print as well as online publications, and it's hard to track print ads. So just from online traffic from WSJ we had over 3000 uniques and well over 15, 000 pageviews from those uniques. Not bad in my opinion from just one source.

Damn Chris and I thought I was the first, who was it?

Our site has been in (bare with me, Australian newspapers) The Herald Sun, The AGe, MX, and on Cable TV.... Three of which expressly mentioned the forums and the community they encourage

Talk about hits after a URL is mentioned on TV.. yikes!

                          Congrats man.

We have never been in a paper or magazine, but we have been mentioned on the radio. Didn't really boost any hits though.
