me is quite interested in that PHP accelerator. looks intersting.

One question, how do you tell it to remove the cached files, ie when you update/edit your php files?

cool looks good. might well have to go for this.

                      one thing,

                      7. Create phpa.cache_dir for caching PHP files. PHP Accelerator defaults to /tmp but this may not be large enough for your files so create a custom directory in /home and chmod it to 5777

                      shell> mkdir /home/phpacache
                      shell> chmod 5777 /home/phpacache

is that meant to be 5777 ... ? what does 5777 mean?

                          straight quote from Chris S.

it sets the /tmp directory world readable, writable and execuatable, but the "5---" sets what's called the "sticky bit"... which will allow someone to only remove files from /tmp which they created, not files created by other users.

that actually should be how the safe mode upload directory should be chmodded too
