I don't THINK that you can find posts with old avatars.

    Nostalgia

I was working on doing a guided tour for newbies of my forum, I set up a test account so that I could grab screenshots and show the basics like uploading an avatar...and when I got to the point where I wanted to do the avatar uploading process, I remembered something funny from a little over 8 years ago, before the vBulletin 3 official style was unveiled if I recall correctly. Kier had posted a teaser mockup drawing of the new style postbit (with avatar on the left, username to the right, post content on a new row, etc.) and it had this funny cartoon character looking face as the avatar that cracked me up. I was hoping to find that and use the funny face as the avatar that I would upload in my guided tour, but alas, forum searches don't go back that far, and it'd be like finding a needle in a haystack anyway ("hey vBulletin, find me all posts by Kier...oh, crapola, I broke the Internet").

Just thought I'd share the memory in case there was still anyone around that remembered those good old days.
