How to get from sick to healthy?

    Day 2: (Today)

    Woke up with a dry throught, since my room is dry. Nose stuffy. Haven't been coughing as much, but when I do it hurts.

    Wrote my exam, it was so hot in the classroom, and including the heat from my sickness or whatever, its even worse.

    I've been washing my hands after everything, I've been drinking orange juice and eating oranges alot.

    To add to it all, the small canker sore in my lower lip burst, now its an alsur. Im brushing my teeh and using moutwash like crazy, and its slowly disappearing.

      Here's what I do...

      1. As Jakeman said, drink LOTS of water...
      2. Take a zinc supplement, throat lozenges with zinc work great for me, they're also good for sore throats.
      3. If the air is dry use a cool steam humidifier, dry sinuses are more vulnerable to germs and take longer to heal.
      4. Get a ton of sleep, don't be afraid to take a sick day either.
      5. Wash your hands often.
      6. If you have a fever take something for it, asprin, Excedrin, Advic, etc. Use a cold cloth on the forehead if it's over 100.
      7. Eat healthy food! No cookies for dinner and stuff like that.

      When all else fails, see a doctor. I just got over a sinus infection, it took a week to completely clear from my system but I feel like I never had it now.

        what's the statistic? i just know that a ton of people in the world are cronically dehydrated which makes you sick more often. water = good

          Zinc tablets work wonders as well. Also it wont hurt to take other vitamin supplements as well - aka a daily multi-vitamin.

          But Zinc will boost your immune system and aid in helping your body to fight off germs, viruses, bacteria, etc.

          I actually take a Zinc tablet (50mg) a day. Works like a charm.

              my doc said i had to get more calcium and protein in my diet because i wasn't getting enough for the ammount of exercise i do. this caused my white count to go way down and my muscles to ache and stuff like that. so i started living on burgers, shakes, and milk. now i really like milk.

              excuse me... liek milk.
