Look at this... Sad really. Just wait a few days and it'll magically disappear too.

Aquamarine, judging from your posts both here and on ScriptKeeper, you hate Infopop with a passion. My advice to you, is leave it behind.

Believe it or not, many others who are here share the same opinion as you, but they don't see a point in posting about it. You attacked IP when they disallowed freeware hacking, yet Jelsoft has instituted the same policy. In the thread you pointed out, you suggest allowing people to take the copyright off, yet Jelsoft has the same policy.

Its not because these two companies are mean, nasty, evil, or greedy -- but its a smart business decision based upon prior experience.

well, my opinion is very well known, so I won't bother
but as for the freeware hacking thing, Jelsoft said that it was not allowed pratically since the get go, whereas IP waited this long to do so

Well, you CAN modify vB lite, but you can't distribute the modifications

vBulletin Lite may be modified for your own use only. Under no circumstances may any modified vBulletin Lite code be distributed.

takerfan: Incorrect. If the had, I would not have published my Memberlist hack. As far as Infopop waiting this log, its because the problem had only gotten worse. Back when UBBCHH had first started, and even up until recently, Freeware hacking was not a problem. However, when users started to distribute code ripped straight from the full version, it DID become a problem.

Plus, if Infopop had not allowed Freeware hacking, we wouldn't have Ed with us here today.

What is your problem? Wait, take that back, I don't even wanna know. THere is no reason to act the way you do towards anybody. You act as if IP killed your mother or something. They have done absolutly nothing wrong. Maybe they made a few decisions that aren't what you would have made, but remember that you are merely a high school kid(I believe) and that IP are adults trying to make a living.

As for the freeware hacking issue, I agree and disagree with it. Hacks should not be able to be distributed, but users should be able to hack for thier own purposes, like any other script.

I think everybody in this whole situation lacks maturity, including the Adults which are running the "said" business are not exactly making the most mature, smart business decisions.

But Who Cares what I think, right?

Now I regret posting this... I originally just wanted to "test" if rosemary is indeed censoring anything... and it worked.

But upon closer examination, my post was a bit inapproprate. Anyways, let's drop it. InfoP is a thing of the past. Let's look to the future.
