  • Facebook Like script is chain-refreshing on this forum.

    Is this happening to anyone else? It's only on here. I'm using Safari, and the iframe for the like button is chain refreshing, causing every page to shift up and down a few pixels.

    Same problem here, I had to completely disable it. It's not like my members were using it anyways.

      Yes. My forum members have reported this after upgrading to the latest version, 4.1.3.
      It appears to be worse on Mac's and Safari where its constant. On PC's using Safari it happens for a short while then stops. It doesn't appear to happen on the iPad or iPhone with Safari.
      Has this been raised as a bug yet does anyone know?

        To demonstrate a member on my forum has taken a video... it happens to be worse on Safari on a Mac, happens for a short while with Safari on a PC but doesn't appear to happen on other Safari versions.

          I'm glad he saved me the time, because that's exactly what it's doing for me.

                  Will editing the facebook_likebutton template and wrapping the code in div tags do the trick?

                  Edit: apparently not.

                    I am obviously in over my head and will submit ticket on this. Not sure that fb like should be in an iframe.

                    looking at vbulletin.css:

                    Code:
                    /* Facebook Section */
                    label#fb_pulishlabel {
                        font-size: 12px;
                        font-weight: normal;
                        margin-right: 10px;
                        vertical-align: middle;
                    }

                    #fb_likeframe {
                        border: none;
                        overflow: hidden;
                        height: 27px;
                        width: 260px;
                        vertical-align: text-bottom;
                    }
                    #pagetitle #fb_likeframe {
                        float: {vb:stylevar right};
                    }
                    .blogbit #fb_likeframe {
                        margin-top: 7px;
                    }

                    /* Fix for Facebook Connect rtl scrollbar */
                    <vb:if condition="$stylevar['textdirection'] == 'rtl'">
                    #FB_HiddenContainer { left: 0; right: -10000px; <vb:if condition="is_browser('firefox')">display: none;</vb:if> }
                    </vb:if>

                      Or you can try to change the settings like it is described in the last comment here if it fixes things.
                      B.t.w. I'm not sure about but I wouldn't recommend to watch the posted video, since I've watched it I have some lightning flickering on my left eye, that's no joke.

                              Is this jumping about still an issue? I had a user complaining recently that the site keeps jumping about but I haven't experienced any problems. Is this going to get fixed?
