Here's a pic of me (rare by the fact that I'm at home and have a shirt on) and my new Parrot. He's a 3 y/o Amazon Bluefront that talks, whistles, and sings Happy Birthday in the shower. He also seems to love Cheetos.

they are definitely flyers. You clip their pin feathers to keep them from flying off. I am going to let his grow back in and get him used to an ankle leash. I don't mind if he flies around the house. Ijust don't want him to fly outside and run away. That would be $650 down the tubes.

My parents use to have a Blue and Gold Macow, they got it when it was a few months old (just past hand feeding), and it was $1700.

They also have a now (well for the last 7 years or so) a African Grey parrot, and that cost $1500.

Parrots aren't cheap... But they'll live longer than you will if you take care of them right.

I have a 4 month old African Grey, we paid $1000 for her.
