  • Just Some Friendly Chatting Guidelines....

Welcome to the chit chat forum, where vBulletin owners and fans can gather to chat about almost anything, technical or non-technical in nature. If you have a question that doesn't fit into any other forum, or just want to chat, this is the place.

We do ask that you follow some simple guidelines while chatting in here though, and ask you respect the following:
    • While we are quite happy to have constructive comparative conversations about competitor's products, we will not tolerate blatant adverts or the sort of 'ooh look, yet another bulletin board' threads. Also, we would appreciate it if you refrain from blatent bashing of other boards.
    • While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate insulting posts or personal attacks.
    • Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) non-sense posts, or the such.
    • Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed.
    • Advertising and spam in general is not allowed.
    • Reporting suspected pirated copies of vBulletin is not allowed. Please see this thread:
Any threads/posts of these types will be deleted.

    Thanks and enjoy!

In addition to the above, please post any threads related to vB3 in this forum since the Chit Chat forum is intended for mainly non-vB discussions.

//edit by jake: changed link to point to the new vB3 sugs and feed forum

I have been moving tons of threads out of the Chit Chat forum lately. This is the Chit Chat forum, not the Anything and Everything forum.

Threads about this site should be posted in the Site Feedback forum. This includes questions about forum access, username change requests, problems with the site, etc.

vBulletin questions and feedback should be posted in one of the vBulletin 2 or vBulletin 3 forums. All sales questions should be posted in the vBulletin 2 Pre-sales Questions forum.

PHP, MySQL, HTML, and Server Configuration questions should be posted in their appropriate forums.

Threads about vBulletin integration with other software are a gray area. One of the other General forums may be more appropriate. Licensed members, keep in mind that the General forums are open to everyone, licensed or unlicensed; threads dealing with vBulletin configuration and troubleshooting that don't belong in one of the support forums should be posted on to ensure only paying members can participate in them.
