Upgrade from vb 4.0.4 null to vb 4.0.8 licensed

Dear All

I have been using vbulletin with a vb Nulled version of 4.0.4 and since I found the software good, I am planning to buy it...will probably buy it in a weeks time.

Before I buy, I would like to know is there any easy way of upgrading from my nulled version to a licensed version without affecting my current database.

Appreciate if anybody could help on this...or else I need to do a fresh installation of vb with licensed version.

Just upgrade your site as normal - upload all files overwriting all on the server and run the upgrade script

What is illegal is running the software without a license. Pay for it, feel free to run that nulled copy, but you would be better off getting the true, un-virus ridden version from here.

Actually.. even running a nulled versions is asking to get your license revoked. I don't think you are allowed to modify codes, which are there for protection of the script....

So what are you stating? That I can have a vB license, but can run a nulled vBulletin board? As long as I have bought a license?

You can run the nulled software if you want, it would count as your one install. We're not going to tell you you can't run that software. But we don't support it and you're doing so at your own risk.
