Obviously it has to be Microsoft's fault. They're to blame for everything.

Do you really believe it's Microsoft's fault?

vB4 is going to have problems with IE9.
Cannot click on "Remember Me" when I'm loging in to any vB4 forum.

No, I do not believe it is Microsoft's fault.

vB5 is unequivocally the best forum software, but not yet...

the latest build seems to have gone a bit screwy with things. PP4 was the build to be happy on.

It is a beta browser, we generally do not support products in beta. That being said I'm sure we will make improvements on it.

Turn on Compatibility View (or off, can't tell which is which).

Currently it works in compatibility mode (IE7 mode) and doesn't with it off. This points to some CSS hack(s) for IE8 to work causing the problems.

I hear IE 9 wont run on XP. Thats real bad for many users.

As per vbulletin 4 its already doesnt work that good with IE; lot of aesthetic stuffs doesnt work. Hopefully ie 9 wont be much trouble.

I don't get it, how come vb team could ignore a browser thats been used by more then 50% users!

XP can't be, and shouldn't be, supported forever. It's a decade-old operating system, and it's time to move on. IE9 not supporting it is good. If you're on XP, too bad, stick with IE8 or use another browser.

That said, IE9 is quite good for a beta, and I like the interface.

I hope your wrong. I use XP Home edition here and was planning to upgrade IE8 to 9 when it went final and was offered as an update for IE. I don't like IE 7 and 8, so was looking forward to maybe getting a good MS browser to use again - since IE6.

IE9 is a decade old. There's no reason for Microsoft to support it in terms of new features. They should be focussing their development on IE9 for Windows Vista and up, as they are. It's like IB supporting vB4 for PHP 2.
