    Anybody here using winmerge?

    I'm trying to compare different vB folders.

    The files are always different because of this part
    PHP Code:
    /*======================================================================*\
    || ####################################################################
    || # Downloaded: 02:12, Fri Aug 27th 2010
    || # SVN: $Revision: 34659 $
    || ####################################################################
    \*======================================================================*/
    I crated an linefilter:
    ^||
    (also tried '/|| )but it's not working.
    Anybody knows what regx i have to use?

    I havn't tested it with WinMerge and don't know exactly how it implements regex, but this would work for preg_match:
    Code:
    ^\/\*(.*)SVN(.*)\*\/
    I added the check for SVN since without it it would start at the very first comment /* in the file.

      Surely you should really ignore anything inside /* ... */

            The regex per se works: http://www.regex-tester.de/regex.html

            Have you tried ignoring comments in Winmerge options? I have not tried whether it works with PHP, but the help gives directions as where to add specifications.

              Strange, on an other computer it's working fine with "Downloaded: "
