    It seems that UBB now goes PHP. Have a look at http://www.ubbdev.com/test/test1/ubb/ultimatebb.php

    Well, it's not fully PHP...the login etc. are cgi again...

      Actually, they've been doing this for quite some time now. I think there was a thread here about it once. Anyway, it's just a PHP wrapper. I'm not sure exactly how it works, but it's not completely PHP.

        click on that link and watch the url change from php to cgi

        //edit: the first time i clicked on it the extension changed. now it isn't. oh well.

                              Why is it so far off topic? UBB has gone PHP and now so has YaBB. As somoene looking to purchase/obtain forum software I have a tougher decision to make although if the whole VB community is like this, it will make it much easier for a novice like myself...
