  • Will the site still be there?

I used to moderate at this site, but the owner/billpayer has dissapeared... the site has now been closed (www.ripthemic.net/vb)
i wanted to know if the site has been deleted or will it still be there if someone wanted to pay the bill (he was leasing it)

if so, i wanna know how i can pay it and get the site back up and running.

You will have to talk to the host of the site and get hold of the guy for the licence information.

Vbulletin is a software company that sells the vbulletin forum software. Jelsoft which has trademarked (I think) Vbulletin has completely nothing to do with webhosting.

You have to find the host of the site.

            Using whois etc.

If you were thinking of taking over the entire site, you got to contact the host (But I don't think that is possible unless the original owner gave the host the permission.)

But If you were thinking of taking over the vbulletin licence, you will have to contact the owner who paid for the license

Enter in the domain name here, and look for the nameservers. It should be something like NS1.HOSTINGCOMPANY.COM, and NS2.HOSTINGCOMPANY.COM. Just look at the part that says "hostingcompany" and you'll be able to find the company that hosts the site. You'll also have contact information for the domain name owner, so you can ask them about taking over the site.
