              Yes, actually that's the origin of my questions......

              In helping out another site in the quest to reduce bandwidth, I just thought for personal knowledge, I'd like to know maybe how intensive some of the features are. Their hosting JUMPED last month from 2xx for 100gb a month to about 7xx since they went over the limit by 16x gb's a month. Ouch

                  well, turning off attachments, custom avatar uploads and losing all the shakespeare buffs in your forums will definitely help in reducing the bandwidth usage ... enabling gzip compression would also be useful, if the server supports it...
