Apologies if this is in the wrong place, but this forum would not let me post this question in the Q&A section
I post on a forum in the UK that has recently upgraded to VBulletin 3.8.4
The default character limit for that board was set at 10K characters per post, considerably less than the previous board.
If the character limit was upped to say 80k what performance issues could occur, assuming few people make posts that big
I am also a member of a complete different board, that has used VBulletin for quite a while and the admin who knows more about it is unreachable so I was advised by another member of that forum to find a VBulletin forum and ask this question there.
