Are there any webmasters that would be interested in linking

    5-10 forums for mutual benefit.

Forums can be hard to market and will be much easier if some sort of forum webring is adapted.

    Anyone interested

      hey prince,

i think it could be good if we get a few sites involved.

We could add a link to each forum in the header and/or footer.

Most forums have a banner at the top. We could replace this with a graphical link

      anyone else out there interested??

      so far we have :

The Presents4them.com Shopping Forums - Shopping Related
      IronMagazine Forums - Fitness Related

Good idea. I was already setting up a banner exchange between me and Unreal Alliance's boards.

we could incorporate lots of forums if we used small text links.

it doesn't have to be like that exactly all i'm saying is i'm interested as long as there will be no links on my mainpage

personally i think that we would need the webring graphic or links in the header and footer.

I understand where your coming from but it defeats the point of building a webring if your forum is stuck away on someones link page.

The people who join a forum are more likely to join another so it makes sense together.

                        What does everyone else think

I have a little forum, not SitePoint, that might be suitable. However, it is not a VB forum, will that matter?

Im all for it. Hell I get barely any visits or posts that Im considering just scrapping the board altogether. I desperately need ppl to actually POSt and not just register a name and not come back. I still dont know why ppl do that

Maybe you should try the "Community Crier™" hack-thing like site point? Every-so-often I get an e-mail from site point, I don't actually read it all because not all of it interests me. But recently I needed a bit of information about the best way to use search engines and get ranked etc, I immeditatly thought of site point. Why? Because they've marketed the board, but not to a degree where I consider it to be anoying. The words "website development" and "sitepoint" stick in my mind.

If I was in need of graphical assistance or 3d rendering (which I will be soon when my copy of 3DSM4 turns up in the post ) I will probably think of a few forums, none of which stand out from each other, mx3dorg, ultrashock.com, and numerious others I have fallen over on my vB travels.
