a greeeeeeat dive (now with a turtle pic!!)

I'm flat worn out right now. I just got back from one of the best dives I've had on this island.

I dive with 14 lbs and I had real trouble getting down, so it was an exhaustive dive, but the vis was about 100' in an area where I'm used to getting close to 20'. The current was nearly as strong as it usually is there.

There were fishes all over the place, I almost wish I'd brought a spear gun.

Best of all, after a year of trying, I finally got some pics of a Sea Turtle

I had to send my digicam in for repairs since the underwater case leaked and fried it, so I had a film camera. I should have the pics Tuesday. If anyone's interested, I'll post a few here when I get them back

I absolutely love scuba diving; I tried it out for the first time a year or so ago and really enjoyed it. I've only been a couple of times though...mainly because the water's too cold here and there's not much to see.
I went diving off Tenerife in summer though..that was really fun.

too funny. I'm reading a book that talks about Tenerife right now. I have a standing offer to take any of the Team that comes here diving. I can lay my hands on any size gear I need

They are soooooo cool, I saw a turtle when diving in the Red Sea at, strangly enough, turtle curve. It sort of swam around us for a minute and then just swam of into the distance, looked really amazing.

And i might well take you up on that offer one day, as I am taking a gap year next year for exactly this sort of thing

I miss diving ;( I was diving in Aruba in July. Got 13 dives in before I got sick (cold). God I miss it. Its too cold to go diving in San Diego right now.

cute turtle... awwwwwww

my aunt used to live on oahu (i no i messed the spelling, lol). she had a nice apartment there for like 15 years or something. she just moved back to california near us. we visited her on the islands once. it was cool cept for the flying roaches.
