That's what I get for moving back to my mum's and broadband coming down a phone line

Far cry from the 20Mb (soon to be 50mb) I got at home...

EDIT: The distance quoted on there is Horlicks BTW. I'm actually around 350 miles away due to the way my ISP is setup.

Yep, it's now evening here, and 8pm, they know people are home and internetting, so they throttle the line for an hour:

Mine is still the same as listed in the other thread... Well upload speed is a little better at times and tops a 3 Mbps.

Not the best I would like better but sadly I need to move out of the states to achieve. I am fond of Japans new satellite boasting air wave gigabit connections.

It's not that fast ATM but we are on their smallest plan right now and they are still messing around with it.

The USA sucks horribly for internet services given the size of its GDP.

A nice update from my provider.

                              They had 24 / 60 / 120

                              But changed this to 30 / 60 / 90 / 120

This caused the 24mbit users to be upgraded to 30mbit, but the 30mbit is on the lower side of balance and now 20 euro cheaper. I agreed to the upgrade.

Now on 30mbit down, 3mbit up, for 20 euro less!

This is from the iMac on wifi, while x360 and other systems are running. So it's not too bad.

                                Nice upgrade.

                                I'd kill for a 3mbit up…
