Computer Chat Using Firefox / Images / Alt Text

Anyone experience in Firefox, once in awhile an image in vB, like an icon, won't show, but it will show the alt text instead? To fix this you have to clear the private data in Firefox, but it will happen again. What's the deal? Thanks

You are attempting to make too many connections to the server in too short a period.

Is there a server setting that fixes this? I guess I should have posted somewhere else. Thought is was Firefox.

It happens on pages where there are barely any connections, like the album page, but there are no albums yet. It said "Add Album" twice, one was supposed to the the icon, I cleared the Firefox personal data, it appeared.

Its both.

Firefox setting.. default it tries to make 4 connections to a server if you change that you can make too many connections.

Servers can also limit the number of connections from a single IP in a particular time period...

Depends on the server you're using. I guess in the Linux world it would be mod_security settings.

My host says it's not a server problem since I empty my browser cache and it fixes the problem. Any ideas?

this been happening with me frequently actually on the last couple months. with the post icons.

Thanks for the info. I guess it's Firefox. Something with loading the image messes up and it messes up the cached image I guess. Would Gzip compression be a factor?
