    Try this one
    http://www.nusphere.com/products/phped.htm

Advanced PHP profiler. PhpED profiler shows executing time for each line, function or module of the code with tenth millisecond's precision. You can locate all the bottlenecks quickly and efficiently. Profiler saves all the timings among multiple sessions so your can compare them and evaluate your improvements

lightphpedit for windows. I'm not a fan of anything that does wysiwyg, in my experience the code is pretty convoluted.

I would like to recommend any editor with a spell checker. I have a feeling you're gonna need it.

Homesite is embedded in Dreamweaver nowadays, it's it that makes the color coding, hence why the old peeps still use the old version... They don't make them separate anymore. *shakes fist*

Homesite 5.5, nothing beat it for me.

It could use PHP5 syntax color soon though.

    Combination of :
    • Zend Studio for Eclipse - Professional Edition
    • Kate
    • JEdit
    • TextPad

Depending on enviroment and project; lots of Zend & Kate atm, with jEdit creeping back up the list.

I've always found phpDesigner to be very fast.

I especially like it's built-in support for TortoiseSVN and phpDoc, though. One click and my classes and methods automatically have phpDoc comments attached to them.

What is the point paying for an IDE? I tried out PHP Designer and you can go to the toolbar and insert various statements. For example you can click on 'Class" and it'll insert class {}. I can type that quicker than going to the toolbar selecting "PHP --> Class". In my opinion paying for an IDE is dumb.

I use Crimson Editor by the way.

I guess NVU is not being updated any longer, but this is the new open source continuation of the project.

    EditPlus3. Amazing.

UltraEdit is good, but has a user-unfriendly & cluttered interface.
