My site chewing up bandwidth like mad!

Hey all,

I'm not real sure where the best spot to post this is, so I thought I'd start here. MODS...please redirect this thread to the correct spot if this is not right.

My website is chewing up bandwidth like mad and I was curious if anyone had the know how(which I don't) and the time to help me out with it all.

My website is this. A vB forum with photopost integrated into it. www.TheMidwestHunter.com The only major addition I have to the site is a chat box on the bottom of the forums. Right now I have the photo gallery shutdown and have for about a week to determine what is pulling all the bandwidth. I've also shutdown the ability to view that chat mod to only those who are registered.

Based upon these stats, do you feel that the amount of bandwidth being used is out of control? ha, ha

I can attempt to get any other stats you all might need to see to help determine where or what might be causing this all. Monthly usage report will show stats beginning in April which is when I switched to a new hosting company.

Do you have any videos or games in your site? That's alot of bandwith for only 3,000+ uniques.

It sounds like people are hotlinking images. Try blocking hotlinking using a .htaccess

Looking at the Yahoo Bot hits as well, and the bandwidth their using. I would most certanly add a delay to your robots.txt file them.
