    Google Admanager

    Do you use Google AdManger?

It's somewhat hard to get accepted to their beta program, but once you are in you're in heaven As we do not have a big-board-forum here anymore I am writing in this forum. What I am asking you is how do you deal with placing AdManager Code in your styles? Usually you only have to include one html tag in the style where ad will display. But in Google AdManager you have to include one html tag in header template, and one html tag where you want it to be displayed. Did you write a script to only put body-html-tag into one custom style and then auto-fetch these information for head-html-tag?

    Thanks.

I'm personally trying to figure out what Google's ulterior motive is for offering an Ad Manager.

Selling more ads The "autofill with adsense ads" option is set as standard Great thing is that Google AdManager knows Adsense Channels and their CPM

Does anybody uses admanagers targeting criteria to target more specific on forums?

I've been playing around with it for a while trying to learn the ins and outs.

I love target criterias, with these you can deliver ads to specific ...
              • scripts (index, forumdisplay, showthread).
Parameters are fetched from THIS_SCRIPT (template only).
              • usergroups (registered users, moderators).
Parameters are fetched from $bbuserinfo[usergroup] (template only).
              • forums (introduction forum, chit chat forum).
You'll have to write a plugin global_start where you fetch each level of forum and pass it to admanager (array_reverse($foruminfo[parentlist]).
              • countries & cities (egypt, new york).
                Build in within admanager.

... and all you have to do is to put very little code within your templates as target criterias do all the conditionals.

Looks interesting, but they don't have pay per month / week (or any time period), it's either per per click or view.

In admanager its "exclusive delivering". There you can place an ad for a specific timeframe exclusively. This is admanagers pay per month / week option. You'll have also the choice of different priority category deliveries like standard / remnant / house delivery.

Seems I got accepted in the program without much questioning. I do have a 100k pageviews/day website running AdSense though. Guess I get to play ad salesman now now where's that automated customer interface that sells the stuff for you... oh boy more toys.

Wrote a modification for targeting vbulletin relevant data (forum, usergroup, script) in google admanager over there on vbulletin.org.

My language version of AdManager site is all bugged, help doesn't work, things are misplaced on Firefox, aestetichally speaking (doubt I got this word right).

Is that true for the english version also? I'm afraid of relying in a system that didn't get the basic website system right...

Thanks for the mod, Ill check it out.
