  • What are your forum guidelines?

I don't know if this has been done before but I would love to see links/pages to other forum owners conduct guidelines or "forum rules" whatever you would like to call it. I have had a few members call me out and say thing like "well it doesn't say that I can't..." so, I would like to poke around make sure all my bases are covered with common rules that other VB users might have in place.

I don't really have any, either. Basically, I just ask that people remain on topic, don't resort to name calling or personal attacks and don't post hate speech or spam. Frankly, my board is so small it makes no difference, but I know if it were larger, I'd hate banning members over attacks.

        heh

my threads NEVER remain on topic (except for specialty forums), we have all kinds of name calling, and hate speech or spam is, thankfully, not a problem

Different strokes, etc. It's really your decision since it's your site. Make up rules as you go along. It's your site, so it's your say.
