  • What do you think of this CAPTCHA?

Some three-dimentional captcha here. Do you think this is user-friendly enough or is it too complicated?

    Pretty clever actually.

Quite frankly I think it's ridiculous and overly complex, for users. It is one of the most complex forms of CAPTCHA I have seen to date, and when you make it hard for computers you are making it hard for your users too.

What's next? Asking users to solve riddles to register on your site?

I found it easier to see and be able to enter the correct letters than some of the CAPTCHA schemes I've come up against lately.

Agreed. While the process was a tad confusing, after scrolling down to the prompt I was able to easily identify which letters it was asking for.

Its an interesting idea. However I would bypass registering at any site that implemented. I don't want to spend a lot of time registering by looking for little letters on objects.

I guess the best way to deal with spam is not with Captcha at all. Captcha is supposed to tell humans and bots apart, but humans can also be spammers. Heuristics to determine if a user/post/thread is spam is the way of the future.

I quite like it, although it might be potentially server intensive (I expected someone to say that) and you'd still need custom images and the like. I still think there are ways to stop even human spammers before registration though.

It's an interesting solution to a problem, one that the creator likely is very proud of, but...

... I would likely also skip registering. I really don't want to play "Where's Waldo?" just to create an account at a new site.

It still looks for letters as an input, so I can't see this being any better than what is used now, and technically it will probably be easier to defeat as it doesn't use numbers in the mix.

I think it's ok. to much scrolling to read the letters IMO. then again it's better than some of the captures were I have been unable to read it my due to colouring etc. (The same type of capture default prior to 3.7 I sometimes could not read it)

                            Wow, neat stuff!

As it seems to have what it takes to make sure a "human only" has a chance to make it thru. I think it was a bit loooong. If I was trying to register, I think I would have lost interest.

I think that that CAPCTHA system is over kill.
After looking at their system I thought of a much simpler but similar one.

I was thinking of having 3-5 images display on screen and on the top right of the image generate a random letter.
Ask the user what letter is on what image. For example...
                              • What letter is on the image of the cat?
                              • What letter is on the image of the cheese?
