YEs when does the nominations start. I'd like to nominate my forums. My forums would be nominated based not only on its looks....but all the special added features like subscription based posting and more.

I must say c-pr0mpt Forum is awesome !

However, I think the B.S. Board might be a cleaner interface for me.

well sometimes normal as you call it is a good thing, and I think we have a good thing going on there...not as hacked up as some of the past winners, but just as good

Not a bad idea. As I've stated previously, I don't think the self-nominated boards are a good idea. IMO this just tends to reward the fastest posters rather than better Boards. I'd suggest allowing no self-nominated Boards, but failing that, seconding a nomination would be the next best thing.

All okay for me, but I e.g. would beg my users to sign up here and vote for me, which is ... not what should happen imho.

I run a german forum which isn't interesting for most (all?) of the users here, so how to get nominated...

Good points, but I fail to see how allowing people to nominate their own boards is a superior option. Again it just rewards the fastest posters, not the boards than have the greatest unbiased support.

It's just my opinion of course. This is a criticism of the process, and not of the fine boards that have been nominated or won.

P.S. More Germans post on this forum than Opticians - so my Board has an even bigger disadvantage than yours!

Hmmm, I've got a message from WebMafia asking me to vote for them. Now I'm thinking, is this allowed? If this would be every big board would easily win out of smaller, maybe much better designed and integrated boards. That wouldn't be fair. I saw the same thing in the previous contest but decided not to go against it as it wasn't sent out by email, but just posted at their boards.

Anyway I just wanted to bring this to your attention.
