vBulletin's forum software is better IMHO but however the Blog add-on from Invision is much much better then vBulletin's Blog add-on.

vBulletin needs to catch up with their blog add-on!

I have a vb license, and a vb blog license, I have no interest in running ips blog on my vb community.

But you gotta admit, it looks very very sleek and nice. One can't help but give props when it's deserved.

Much has to do with their clear separation of content (xhtml) and style (css) that makes designing much easier and pretty. I am longing for the day that Jelsoft will get rid of the ugly and ancient table design.

I totally agree with you. Please check what features you want vbulletin blog to implement and request them here and on vb.org This way you help improve the vbulletin blog.

IP.Blog does seem very impressive, hopefully as vBulletin's blog add-on matures it will adopt a few of the better ideas from IP.Blog :P

So does Invision pay you to go to their competitors' sites and advertise their products?

I assume vblog will be updated to support a customized look since this can now be done for profiles in 3.7.

The rest of the features seem to be on par except for content blocks, that would be a nice addition for botht he blogs and profiles.

                Content Blocks
Each Blog can enable some pre-installed content blocks like Mini calendar, My Blog links, Last 10 Blog Entries, Last 10 Blog Comments, My Gallery Albums, My Picture, Search, Categories. In addition custom content blocks can be created. In addition all content blocks can be managed using drag/drop in your Blog page.

LOL! I don't actually have a IPB License...
Just thought the people of vBulletin should know what's going on with their competitors.

IPS discussions should go to IPS their web site, and vB discussions can stay here.

You can't be talking about their IP Blog?
