Spam Is this Firewall Script any good?

I was sent this on a email from a friend today and was wondering if anyone uses it on there forum? And is it any good?

I've only had a cursory look, and it all seems a bit silly to me. A script cannot function as a good firewall, because once an attack reaches far enough to have scripts execute they've reached too far as it is.

Interesting solution although not failsafe as it is a script running on the server (kin to XP's software firewall I suppose). It's a shame that it requires application specific version (Vbulletin version, Wordpress version, etc). I had hoped it would be platform independent.
