    It would be good to see an option that restricts how far back mods can edit/delete posts. I have suggested this before.

      3.7 has inline moderation authentication to prevent mass deletion. But it will just request to re-auth. An angry mod of course knows his own password.

          I relied on my host backing up everyday and I lost a 8 year old forum with thousands of members and post. It started as a threaded cgi board and went through using yabb and phpbb and finnally VB but the db went bad an hour before they backed up. So their back up only contained the bad db.
