    What you think of it?

Is it a strong antivirus software that I'll be secure with?

How's it different from Norton and Mcafee?

I like AntiVir a lot. It's fast, free and for private use absolutely enough. Don't forget it uses way less RAM than Norton AntiVirus (I mean the real one, don't know about the corporate)...
According to a recent test from a German test team, AntiVir finds 99.60% out of 1,000,000 Viruses. The response time for new viruses was also quite good.

I think my laptop uses it and it ISN'T a resource hog.. so that helps out a lot... especially on a laptop!

I've moved away from Windows to a Mac, I no longer run anti virus software. Aviro? Never heard of them, sorry.

I have not heard of them before. For the home/personal machines I use Avast, at the office we use Norton Corporate (much smaller footprint then their home versions plus we can centralize the definitions).

I am not saying there aren't any, I am saying I've haven't had a problem with the 2+ years I've been using a Mac. The system is also app. less exploitable to just get infected by downloading the email or from viewing a web site. The kernel has been designed differently.

Feel free to write a virus for it.

                Same, on XP.
