Clicking on the link produces an offer to download a binary file and if I can't spend it .. I don't want it

whitetigergrowl - we're not interested in your ISPs performance, rather the performance of the data centre the test file is on

I have a 20mbit connection and am getting proper speed (2mbyte/sec) from that location.
I have UPC Chello Internet - and am from the Netherlands.Last edited by Floris; Thu 31 Jan '08, 12:54pm.

Cheers everyone!
Nice one Floris! It looks as though the browser starts the download as soon as you click the link (opera does the same) - hence the first vid was so quick. Nice and fast tho!
Love the tune too! Will see if I can find it somewhere

You could have at least done the test for us
Maybe. But at the same time there are a lot of varying factors for the speed. Mine never peaked with that file, nor did it stay in a constant range. It's inconclusive. Factors such as the ISP do play into the speed at which its downloaded, as well as where on planet earth you are downloading it from. So far, as this thread has proven, the speeds, as expected, all vary with no real constant. Which is what should be expected.
