It was not a complaint. Just that Jelsoft pays more attention than other's I've seen in policing their own policies. So by comparison it seems more aggressive to me.

Don't get hung up on choice of word.

    You confuse aggressive with active.

They do keep an eye on search engine listing, etc. but with millions of results you can't get them all in 1 day.

I was not aware of the license agreement for the LITE version, I wasn't a customer back then, nor on staff.

I was a bit surprised by that, given it was originally free.

Given Jelsoft's more aggressive nature than most in pursuing pirate operations of their software, I would assume someone there keeps an eye on Google for installations.

Ah, I have been informed when lite was available for download it was free to be used for unlimited period of time. So they're not breaking a license agreement.

    According to Wikipedia

vBulletin Lite was a degraded version of the 1.x series that allowed potential customers to test their server for compatibility with vBulletin. The product was discontinued after vBulletin 2 because there were security issues and it was out of date, and Jelsoft did not want to spend resources into maintaining a non-commercial product.

started a topic What was vBulletin lite?

    What was vBulletin lite?

I was looking through these boards today, and happened upon the old archives. One of the was "vBulletin Lite".

I tried searching for that, but you guys disable the use of vBulletin as a search term (rightfully so). So searching for just "lite" was too wide open.

I'm therefore asking. What was that? Just curious, I have no particular desire to obtain it, just wondering.
