Comcast upgraded their speed?

Hey, on Comcasts website it says their speeds are up to 12Mb/s (I believe that is just the speed boost part of it which is only for the first 10MB of each download other than that it was 6 or 8 Mb/s last time I saw)

I did a speedtest (Speedtest.net) and I am getting 20Mb/s!!! Is anyone else getting the same results with Comcast? Also the upload was 384Kb/s last time I checked but now it's 1,500Kb/s? I'm not complaining or anything, it's just kinda odd that I am getting these speeds.

And as always, the file they offer as stream for up/down is not big enough to get a steady and good average connection measure. Get a 1GB file and let it run until it's done and let it calculate the size, time and how much KB/s that is for you.

I use this: http://ftp.snt.utwente.nl/pub/test/
because it's in my country and offers multiple files.

The 1 gb file shows me an average of 2,5mbyte/sec

Down doesn't seem to have changed, upload sucks as usual, at least in comparison to everyone else's

A few years ago I heard about Verizon FiOS and I called them and asked them about their service, and they said it wasn't available in my area but should be soon. They told me they'd notify me and guess what? It's still not available.

A 1 GB file shows me the pretty much same speeds that speedtest.net shows me. Approximately 9.87 megabits per second.
