I'm somewhat eclectic, but at the end of the day, my preference is always going to be metal. At the moment it's Folk Metal, Power Metal and Melo-Death, mixed with the only Nu-Metal band that I can stand (Dope). The bands I'm currently into are:

-Kataklysm (Northern Hyperblast / Death Metal)
    -Insomnium (Melo-Death)
    -Cruachan (Folk)
    -Korpiklaani (Folk)
-Sirenia ("Goth" [not how I would classify them...])
    -Runic (Power/Folk)
    -Tyr (Power/Folk)
    -HammerFall (Power)
    -Helloween (Power)
    -Edguy (Power)
    -Dark Tranquility (Melo-Death)
    -Falkenbach (Folk)
    -Stratoverius (Power)

    ...etc.

I also have this weird urge to listen to Pavoratti and Bocelli since watching Paul Potts...

Then, to break up the assault of auditory power I listen to techno and old 80's rap.

Daft Punk + other random techno bands
    Public Enemy
    X-Ecutioners
    Jurassic 5

Etc. Oh, and I like Jazz and Bluegrass too. And some old country like Jonny Cash. I like almost anything except some prog metal, post rock, and gangster rap.

Thanks. This is the type of music I like.
Doesn't 'Seether' sound like 'Stone Temple Pilots' a little?

I've been listening to 30 seconds to mars the last month, kind of like it. I am not really big into music. I have brief moments where I listen to a lot of music, and everything I get tired of after a few times gets thrown away.
