Would you use the option of a second video output, i guess is the question..
I would personally use the money to upgrade the soundcard... "Disable onboard Realtek"

It's not really what i recommend.
It's what do you personally prefer?

Would you likely use two monitors at once?, or would you rarely use them both ?

Would you like better sound, or is a more generic sound ok with you?
Do you have speakers to support a better soundcard eg: "Altec Lansing"
Are you more into playing music, games with alot of high quality audio?

Or would the two monitors more suit your needs??

I would likely use them both at the same time =)
          Occasionaly just one

I would like high quality sound for music as for gaming i would use headphones.

          I also need a good set of 5.1 or 7.1 speakers =)

Nice.. I got a new computer over the weekend as well. My previous one decided to have a meltdown on Friday night and the CPU temperature skyrocketed to 74 degrees Celsius.

Mine is just an off the shelf HP though. Its what was available and within the budget. Did get an AMD Athlon X2 5000+ with 3 GB of RAM, 400 GB hard drive and most of the extras for less than $800.00 out the door. Only drawback is it has onboard graphics but its at NVIDIA 6150 chip and I allocated 512 MB of RAM to it. Will upgrade that possibly in a few months but it works the games I run.

What have you used in the past? Personally I have never had good experiences with ATI so am pretty set on NVIDIA. For others it was the opposite.

Before you buy a second videocard, check the one you're getting. Most of them have dual head dvi these days. I have 1 card in my system with 2 monitors on them for example.

Well on my laptop before i buggered it up i was using ATI with Omega Drivers which i must say are a must for gamers! And i'm pretty pleased with it =) I got an average of 60-100 FPS which i'm more than happy with =)

You can hook up a monitor to each DVI head and drive dual monitors with one card.

Will it strain my card if i say hard two graphically challenging programs on each monitor?
