vB being attacked lately?

I have noticed some of the bigger vB forums going up and down a lot of late. The [H]ardForum and XtremeSystems keep having intermittent database errors and then they go up and down all day.

Anyone know of any new concerted attacks from new exploits?

If it's just those 2 forums it could just be that it's a coincidence, or they're on the same server.

or they could have the same hacks installed with an exploit.

long post short; could be any number of reasons, and if indeed it was a vB exploit there'd be a patch out ASAP

Web sites are targetted every day.

If they're don, it depends on the error, and the cause We don't get an update on each situation. We don't run those sites.
