  • Why aren't messageboards cool?

It seems like there is this internet pop culture out there that is all about blogs and social networking sites and neato little niche websites like tumblr. But how many people rely on messageboards every day for their social interaction and information? I know I have for over a decade.

So why isn't vBulletin on a list like this?

Just like they are fast running out of names for rock 'n' roll bands.
And by names I mean names that will shock the elders.

And I think messageboards are way cooler than blogs anyway.

I love forums, they are so better than anything else.

Even better when they have vB installed

For topic related stuff, you can't beat forums.

For just chat, there's everything else.

I also much prefer forums, it feels like being part of a family. OK, a very big family, but it still gives you good feelings.

I use and like forums the best. Although that would change if I could get some of my friends on Virb.

I think because it places content heavily over personalities and glam. People prefer quick, shallow and personable stuff, generally. That's not to say that's always a bad thing, but there you are.
