  • Making $$ from forums, how difficult?

I have an idea that I think would REALLY take off in a forum format as far as getting members. I would "guestimate" that I could get 3000 - 5000 members within a year, and only grow from there.

Assuming that could be true, what size forum is needed at a minimum - niche sites aside - to create enough traffic to bring advertisers, in your opinion?

And, assuming that number above, what type of $$$ might we be talking to operate such a site?

    Thank YOU!

There is not even a clear definition of what Web 2.0 is, let alone that it's killing forums.

The idea of forums will always be in use: conversation and discussions on various topics. Even if the format changes, this will always be implemented.
