  • Help me with this image uploader

    Hello all.

I bought www.pic-spot.com on SitePoint a few weeks back, and everything worked fine with no problems at all until I had to move servers.

When I try and upload a pic file, I'm getting errors (try for yourself).

    PHP Code:
Warningmove_uploaded_file(./images/bwy1179414323v.png) [function.move-uploaded-file]: failed to open streamPermission denied in /home/picspot/public_html/basic.php on line 58

    Warning
    move_uploaded_file() [function.move-uploaded-file]: Unable to move '/tmp/phpeYiYXE' to './images/bwy1179414323v.png' in /home/picspot/public_html/basic.php on line 58
    Didn
    't work, please try again
    Can anyone please help me?

Have you got the correct permissions?

This would usually mean a file cannot move/write try settings all permissions to 777.

also, this is why I prefer making my own sites.

PS: you should bold "all" too because "at" just as bold is silly.

        What is left?

EDIT: when I try to upload a test image I get:

        Code:
[B]Fatal error[/B]: Call to undefined function: imagecreatefromjpeg() in [B]/home/picspot/public_html/basic.php[/B] on line [B]82[/B]

Make sure your files are not corrupt.

Upload the file that contains that function.

Try Re-Uploading in case of currupt files.

Just finished uploading the files again and it's still the same, I think this has to do with php in my server

The error is trying to tell you the function is not properly configured by file, you may wish to contact the author.

Or get someone who know what they are doing to take a look through the files.

The problem with these turn-key sites is that there is often no support and the software developer is some unknown programmer in India without the resources to provide direct support. Maybe the person you purchased it from at SitePoint can help you out.

Well, the first thing is that you need to install PHP's GD extension. The 2nd thing is, I believe your server runs SAFE MODE, contact your host and ask them to disable it, or simply upload via FTP functions.
