I just got a new 750gb seagate hdd sata2 drive today
The little mphdd family has grown from default 250 and new 320 to a new baby of 750, totaling 1,3TB
The mac pro has space left for another 750gb, but this will do fine for a while.

Doesn't look as well secured in the box as mine did mine one was like boxed it, that soft sponge at the bottom sponge with a whole in the middle HDD in the middle and sponge again. and box.

Also, if your anything like me you'll end up needing more than 4 of them, I got this 300GB due to I haven't got a spare £60 for another 750GB so I spend £30 on a 300GB instead, it'll do for a couple of weeks.
EDIT: thanks for editing poll for me.

Added Attachment is my ones packaging taken with my phone.

      Added a closer look one.

              No.

But you could open up your case and look at the cabling, the IDE is white and wide (as you can see in one of my phone pictures) and SATA is read and thin (Usually).

I have a 200GB WD (I think) SATA that came with my Vaio, and I bought a 400GB Seagate PATA before I even got the desktop, haha.

I also have a 300GB Maxtor that I've been too lazy to hook up the last... year or so, haha. Ah, I should as I have 8 GB left on the 400 and 20 (after constant cleaning) on the 200. I think I'm going to get some enclosures before buying anymore drives, though.

It's what's inside that counts. Although, with all that talk about sponge with a hole in the middle, I don't think I'll ask what's inside that >_<

Newer IDE cables are often rounded like the one in the picture here:
                  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16812104001

Flat ribbon cables usually impede air flow and can cause overheating.

Won't be very good quality, but when I put the HDD in I'll take the pics then, still waiting for the power adapter.

How the heck can you fill up that much space?! Unless your a gamer then thats different but even then, 700gb is A LOT.

My PC has a 40gb harddrive and its mostly empty (this PC is about 5 years old now).

I am currently transferring my VHS collection to disk. I have about 300 tapes currently and at 5 GB or so per movie because I don't want to compress it as lose more quality. It adds up. That is about 1.5 terabytes.

That is just one use. I want to convert my DVD movies to disk as well so we can have just a single storage location and watch them anywhere in the house. I have several hundred DVD movies.
