How do you deal with troublemakers on your boards?

I haven't had TO much trouble with people on my boards, but today we did

Short of disabling the registration system, I couldn't find a way to block him

Anytime I banned the email/ip/userid, he'd just come back with a new IP (proxy) and a new email address (yahoo/gmail/msn)

I tried putting in a cookie banning plugin from vbulletin.org, which went awry and ended up banning everyone

I tried putting in the plugin to block registrations from proxies, which didn't work either, he could still sign up

Can someone offer some insight?

Your could manually moderate new members first X posts.

If their activity is serious, consult legal counsel and send the person notice that their activity is now considered harassment and any future visits to your site will be trespassing.

In most of the countries, what he does is considered as illegal. Two years ago I had a case somehow like yours when a specific user kept bothering other forum members and flooding uncontrollably. What I did is i contacted my ISP abuse department and reported his IP+date. I've been told that they warned him. He never came back

Peace b upon u my friend Deimos, how u do?, i can c what kind of trouble u r facin, well let me tell u my opinion about it & i have an idea but, u need 2 b a one whom can create some kind of a security/censor software something/some software just like Mcfee virus terminator, u have 2 create an intellegent cybronic program 4 ur computer that, can understand/censor & can sense the harrassement & disterbin/violatin expressions & trespassers & also, can follow this trouble maker's computer info path & block it/disable it or, even ban it automatically/immidetly, u dont have even 2 look whom registerin & what they r writtin, this cybronic program or software acts like u say, a guardian angel 4 ur computer & does the job automatic 4 u, of course, if u dont know how 2 create such software, well the only suggetion i can offer u my freind is 2 ask a help a computer programmer or htose people whom can hack in2 the computer info path/system, this is the only way how it works i belive, i hope u got the picture of what i've said, thank u 4 ur carin, have nice day
