Vista RTM Free to Testers

If you are a Vista beta tester head over to Connect to get your free copy of Vista Business or Ultimate.
The only requirement is that you submitted a bug. If you did when you login to Connect and head to the Vista section you'll see a link to agree to the terms where you can select your version for download. If you want Ultimate you have to have a legal copy of dvd playback software. Chances are you got that with the purchase of the dvd player. You'll get immediate access to the download, but, will have to wait a week for the key. You can still install it by clicking past the part that asks for the key.
I have to give kudos to Microsoft for giving us a free copy. It sure was unexpected.

Vista is on MSDN for partners etc too now... just finished downloading my 2.55GB DVD image and installed Ultimate edition... and activated

All Vista versions are available for download thru the Microsoft Download applet as well.

Just finished downloading x86 and x64 Vista Final DVD Images..
I wasnt surprised, we usually get a free Retail box copy, but i guess they put a stop to that because people where selling them..

I'm completely lost in the new Connect interface versus beta.microsoft.com. Just where the hell did my old beta programs go? One of them I don't care at all about, but Office 2007 was important, and now I can't find it anywhere.

Limited to one instance/Install at one time, it never expires unless its abused...

Ah I wish I had tested now, could never get it working on my laptop. I did submit a bug but nothing came of it. Also I can't seem to even navigate to the "Vista" section on this connect place.

My download stopped at 40% done. It's been sitting like that since last night shortly after I started it. I guess I'll wait a couple days to finish it up.

Set your retry from 3 to 99, it should work tonight..

BTW, have you found a defrag prog that works in Vista Ultimate?
I have tried Diskeeper 2007, O O Defrag 8.x.x, and a couple others.. None will install..
