  • Move admincp/modcp to different domain that uses SSL for a secure login?

In my continuing push for maximum security, I now have a domain on my server for all domains to use for SSL access.

I want to require SSL access for admincp/modcp. can I mode/copy the admin/modcp and have them at secure-domain.com/forumname/admincp modcp/ ? This is all on the same server.

Also while I am at it, how can I require all user logins on the forum use SSL (as in force all logins over SSL)? Just another way of protecting users login/passwords.

It will be easier to get a certificate for your forums' domain; IIRC, they're something like $100 and worth the money over the effort.

$100 not good for a forum that doesn't make money. Also by having the admincp/modcp on a different domain just makes it that much harder to get in.
